The Position
St John of God Subiaco Hospital is the oldest and biggest hospital in our group, having been established in 1898. With 600 beds, it is one of Australia’s most respected providers of health care services and an internationally renowned leader in clinical trials and research. SJG Subiaco Hospital is also a leader in innovation and adoption of new technologies, including the implementation of robotic surgical devices and virtual reality imaging technology. Our hospital is located in the heart of Subiaco close to stylish cafes, boutiques and with easy access to the train station.
We have an exciting opportunity for an Admin superstar to join our Research Department as Administration Officer.
As an Administration Officer you will provide a high standard of administrative and secretarial support to the Research Operations Manager and the Research Directorate. You will be responsible for managing the office's daily operations, including organizing meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records. Additionally, you will be expected to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed efficiently and in a timely manner.
This position is on a Fixed Term Part time basis, working 45.6 hours a fortnight for 12 months.
The successful candidate will have:
- A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
- Demonstrated commitment to customer service and engagement with Clinical Researchers and external collaborators including flexibility, tact and diplomacy.
- Demonstrated experience in event management and coordination.
- Minimum of five years working in a busy office environment.
- Accurate and efficient typing, computer, document control and data entry skills with advanced MS Office suite skills.
- Clear concise written and verbal communication.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and amend tasks accordingly.
- Courteous and polite phone manner.
- Well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
