Location, location, location! Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is looking to recruit to the idyllic Mona Vale Hospital located on Sydney's Northern Beaches. The Mona Vale Hospital is seeking Assistant In Nurses for the inpatient Palliative Care / Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM) Unit. The Mona Vale Hospital Palliative Care / GEM Unit is a purpose-built facility overlooking Mona Vale Beach, providing high quality and compassionate care for both palliative care, and geriatric patients. The care provided consists of holistic, comprehensive geriatric assessments, compassionate and culturally appropriate, symptom management, and end of life care, in partnership with patients and their families.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Currently enrolled in second or third year of a Bachelor of Nursing or degree deemed appropriate or completion of HLT33115 Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care).
  • Demonstrated, effective written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team.
