Parks Supervisor
- Permanent Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 76 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $97,232 – $103,242 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4 + Site Allowance) + Superannuation

Your new role
Do you have experience leading and managing Parks and Horticulture teams and are looking for the next step in your career?
An opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and driven professional to manage, lead and support multiple teams, creating an environment that promotes high performance, collaboration and staff development.
You will effectively coordinate and oversee the operational functions of parks medium term, through to long term strategic and holistic management of the Regions public parks and gardens, open spaces and associated facilities.
Safety First is Council’s core value and you will be responsible for leading a strong safety culture. You will also manage the implementation of work health and safety, risk management and environmental plans in accordance with relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).
What we are looking for
- Strong leadership qualities and skills with knowledge and experience in leading a team to success.
- Demonstrated experience in the fields of park development and maintenance and/or related fields including horticulture, machinery operations, open space cleansing and irrigation.
- Highly experienced strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to work well in a high-pressure environment, continuing to uphold a high attention to detail and quality outcomes.
- Drive a positive and inclusive safety culture throughout your team.
- Excellent communication skills to provide specialist advice and assist in the planning of the region’s parks assets and open spaces.
- High level knowledge of contract management and tender development.
- Highly motivated with a forward-thinking mentality and proven experience in overseeing and organising work schedules and resources to ensure efficient completion of work at multiple locations.
